Maric: No subsitute for the Brussels dialogue (RTS)

The upcoming round of talks in Brussels should result in the statute on the establishment of A/CSM. Ljubomir Maric coordinator of the team for establishing the Association/ Community of Serb Municipalities (A/CSM) said that there is no substitute for dialogue. "The two sides pledged to implement agreements resulting from the dialogue and so far we have seen that the Serbian government has implemented everything that was agreed. We expect the implementation of these agreements by the political representatives of Pristina, the adoption of the statute and establishment of A/CSM. The first six points from the first Brussels agreement still remain Pristina’s responsibility" said Maric.

Concerning the verdict handed down to Oliver Ivanovic, Maric said that the Serbs in Kosovo saw Ivanovic's trial as a process against all Serbian people. "This political process sends a very negative message to all Serbs," said Maric. He added that he hopes that appeal will lead the process back into a just and legal framework.
