OSCE will transport ballots to Kosovo (Vecernje Novosti)
Citizens of Kosovo with the right to vote will be able to elect Serbian Parliament MPs. However, to ensure the safety and security of the election process, as in previous years, the OSCE will be included in the process. This agreement was reached during the last round of talks in Brussels, though Pristina unwillingly accepted. However, OSCE officials in Kosovo said that so far no one has approached them with this issue so far: “The OSCE mission supported Republic of Serbia central elections in Kosovo in 2012 and 2014. We are ready to facilitate these elections again, if Pristina and Belgrade come to an agreement.”
In 2014, RIK (Republic Electoral Commission) assigned 90 polling places in Kosovo, and out of 107,476 registered voters around 33 % voted in the elections. Election material for Kosovo was handed over to election commissions in Raska and Vranje. The OSCE transported the lection material from administrative lines to the polling places. After closing the polling stations, election material was transported back to Raska and Vranje, and handed over to the coordinators in RIK.
