Djuric: We expect re-opening of all crime investigations in Kosovo (Blic)
The Director of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric, said that it is unacceptable that 15 years after the bomb attack and killing of 12 passengers on a bus near Podujevo/Podujevë, no one is held responsible for the crime.
Djuric reminded that perpetrators of this serious crime have not been identified, as well as was the case of the murder of 14 harvesters in Staro Gracko village, and the Stolic family in Oblic/Obiliq. “It is sad that this case was closed as well, and that the only suspect was released by the Kosovo Supreme Court due to lack of evidence. I urge the international community and authorities in Kosovo to conduct an investigation as soon as possible of the killing of passengers on the bus near Podujevo and of other cases of attacks on Serbs, to shed light and bring the perpetrators to justice. Only then can we hope to live a safe and secure life in Kosovo and Metohija, for equal justice for all, and for ethnically motivated crimes to not go unpunished,” communicated Djuric through a written statement.
