The Serbian List in Vučitrn/Vushtrri: Security situation good, poor representation of Serbs in institutions (KoSSev)
The biggest problems faced by the Serbian community in Vučitrn/Vushtrri Municipality is poor representation in the public sector and local institutions, concluded participants on yesterday’s meeting between the Serbian List caucus members in the Kosovo Assembly and the Mayor of this town, Bajram Mulaku.
One of the problems identified at the meeting, when addressing actual issues in this municipality, was the return of displaced persons to this municipality. The Serbian List members highlighted that the problem in relation to this issue is sustainability of the return to majority Kosovo-Albanian settlements, however participants agreed that security situation in this municipality is at a good level in past several years, what is important when it comes to cohabitation of all communities.
The Serbian List’s visit to Vučitrn/Vushtrri is part of a round trip to municipalities where members of the Kosovo-Serb community live, with the goal of identifying main problems on the field and systematic approach in addressing this issues in cooperation between the MPs, Kosovo government members and the mayors.
