Tahiri: Kosovo institution’s offices soon in the north (KIM Radio)
The Basic Court, Office of the Public Prosecutor, more than 23 ministries and agencies that did not operate in the north of Kosovo will soon become functional, said Minister without portfolio in the Kosovo government in charge for the dialogue with Belgrade, Edita Tahiri, reported Kosova pres daily.
Tahiri said that there are no more parallel police structures, parallel court institutions and that Civil Protection is dissolved, followed with the process of hiring of personnel from those institutions in the Kosovo institutions.
"We have people who are working under the command of Kosovo Police, in line with Kosovo laws. By the end of integration of persons who were part of the Civil Protection, there will be 23 ministries and government agencies in the north, and this is big progress when compared with the previous year. These are concrete achievements of negotiations, and example where Serbia cooperated and respected the agreement,” said Tahiri.
When it comes to the Peace Park, she expects the EU to mediate in talks on this issue.
