Sputnik: Five Serbian lists in the Kosovo elections (Danas)
Danas reports on Sputnik article saying that most likely five Serbian parties or groupings would participate in the Kosovo's elections. Sputnik says for the campaign nearly a half million euros.
Sputnik adds that it never has been that much money for those taking part in the elections because all participants will get for the campaign almost a million euros of the Kosovo budget; precisely - 942,573 euros.
According to the Central Election Commission so far two Serbian lists are sure : The party of Kosovo Serbs (PKS), which was registered by Aleksandra Jablanović and the party "Citizens Initiative the Serbian List "(GISL), led by Slavko Simić.
Sputnik was told unofficially that five or six parties or groups are in the game which could appear as representatives of the Serbs in these elections.
Because of this large disunity, members of the Serbian National Forum (SNF) headed by Momčilo Trajković (SNF) have asked the Prime Minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić to be a patron of a roundtable on "Serbs in the upcoming Kosovo parliamentary elections - unity or discord", stressing that Serbs in the upcoming elections would be in a position to choose between three or four lists.
Kosovo political analyst Stefan Filipović also warns to the fact that the participation of Serbs in multiple columns in the elections in Kosovo will be more than bad.
He says that for the Serbian community the best is to have a united front with a common position, performance in the Kosovo Assembly. He says that this division by no means is in favour of the Serbian people in Kosovo. He fears that certain Serbian parties can make "a deal" with some marginal Albanian parties, only for the sake of being in the government, which, according to Filipović, could be more than disastrous for the Serbian political scene in Kosovo.
