Italy expels Macedonian and Albanian for Islamist ties (B92)
Italy has expelled a Macedonian and an Albanian citizen for their ties with radical Islam, the Macedonian media reported on Thursday.
According to this, they were found to have been in contact with Muslim radicals arrested in Kosovo for terrorism, whose computers contained "anti-western and anti-Semitic material."
Previously, the police in Bari followed the 36-year-old Macedonian and the 27-year-old Albanian because they cooperated closely via social networks with a sympathizer of Islamic State from Morocco.
The reports recalled that Italy adopted a law on the expulsion of aliens suspected of being linked to extremism after the Islamist attack in Paris in 2015.
Based on that law, Italian authorities have expelled 221 people so far, 89 this year.
