They push defeated ones in the municipality of Partes (Vecernje Novosti)
Daily based in Belgrade Vecernje Novosti today writes, in a article entitled "The Pristina Plan: They push defeated ones at the helm of Partes," that if the Constitutional Court of Kosovo is guided by political rather than legal arguments and it supports the Appeal Panel's request for the repetition of the vote in the municipality of Partes, it is possible that the protest will be radicalized.
President of the Serbian List Goran Rakic said this on the eve of the session of the Constitutional Court, which should consider the appeal of the Serbian List regarding the decision of the Appeals Panel to repeat the vote for the municipal government in the municipality of Partes.
Local self-government workers with a Serb majority in Kosovo sent a message yesterday with one hour protest that they would not agree with the attempt to manipulate the will of voters and the intention to place at the helm of the municipality the convincingly defeated minions, Vecernje Novosti writes.
- Pristina's attempt to redraw the election will of the citizens will not pass, and this protest is a warning that we will not allow this. Citizens voted and chosen the best - Rakic said in Mitrovica, the daily write.
Rakic highlights the expectations that the Constitutional Court will accept legal arguments, that is, that the Serbian List won 60 percent of the votes and that Dragan Petkovic, the candidate of that list, won his opponent Nenad Cvetkovic.
Recall, the Appeals Panel demanded a repeat of the election, arguing that it had irregularities. They cite the recorded phone conversation of the candidate of the Serbian List who allegedly convinces voters to vote for him. The deadline of 72 hours for the Constitutional Court ends today at 11 am.
According to the data of the CEC, the candidates of the Serbian List have convincingly won nine out of ten municipalities with a Serb majority, including the municipality of Partes. The elections will be repeated, as originally announced, in the municipality of Klokot, where the second round of voting is expected on November 19.
