B92: Text of statement given by Serb judges in Kosovo (Serbian media)

Member of the Kosovo Assembly Korab Sejdiu has published the text of a statement recently made before President Hashim Thaci by Serb judges and prosecutors.

N1 first reported that Sejdiu received the signed statements from the Presidency of Kosovo, after filing an official request.

"(Serb) judges and prosecutors were appointed with the same decrees as all other judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Kosovo; said judges and prosecutors have been appointed without their swearing in in the same fashion as all other judges and prosecutors that join the justice system of the Republic of Kosovo," Sejdiu wrote on Facebook, and added:

"Said judges and and prosecutors have instead been appointed upon signing of statements that do not mention anywhere the Republic of Kosovo or the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, but rather, inter alia only mention Kosovo, Kosovo legislation and agreed conclusions for the integration process – thus, in no way do the judges and prosecutors express their allegiance to the country of Kosovo," Sejdiu wrote on Facebook.

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic recently took to Twitter to say that the Serb judges and prosecutors did not take an oath of office, but instead made a special, status-neutral statement.
