Srpska Lista declared victory in Klokot and Partes (RTS)
According to the preliminary results, Srpska Lista (SL) mayoral candidates in Klokot and Partes municipalities have won the highest percentage of votes in the local elections, RTS reports.
Bozidar Dejanovic won elections in Klokot, while Dragan Petkovic won elections in Partes. According to the information of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Srpska Lista mayoral candidate in Partes, Dragan Petkovic won 61.81 percent or 1.316 out of 2.129 votes. His opponent Nenad Cvetkovic won 813 votes or 38.19 percent, RTS also reported. CEC further said that candidate of the Srpska Lista, Bozidar Dejanovic is leading in Klokot municipality. Serbian Government Office for Kosovo Director, Marko Djuric said that the victory of Srpska Lista in Klokot and Partes confirmed the SL is a dominant political force in all Serb-majority municipalities in Kosovo and that “our compatriots are responsible and united in making decisions of interests for their future,” RTS reported. Djuric termed a victory in Partes municipality significantly important, given that “with an act of legal and political violence, the victory of Srpska Lista candidate there was annulled,” following the first round of elections. President of Srpska Lista, Goran Rakic said that Serb people, despite the intentions of individuals from Pristina to influence the elections of mayors in Serb-majority municipalities, chose Srpska Lista to lead them in the next four years. Rakic also said that “the victory of Srpska Lista is the victory of Serb people in Kosovo, but also a victory that continues wise and state policy of the Government of Serbia and Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic in Kosovo and Metohija,” RTS reported.
