Who would be a new mayor of Klokot, Strahinja Spasic or Bozidar Dejanovic would be known after the counting of all the ballots, Serbian media reported today. Meanwhile, Dragan Petkovic is a new mayor of the Partes municipality. Officially, there were two candidates running for the mayor of Klokot municipality. Strahinja Spacic as Srpska Lista candidate and Bozidar Dejanovic as a candidate of a Civic Initiative Klokot-Vrbovac. However, in the eve of the second round of mayoral elections, Dejanovic with all the members of the Civic Initiative joined Srpska Lista, while leading people of Srpska Lista and Serbian Government Office for Kosovo Director, Marko Djuric offered support to him, and not to Strahinja Spasic. Stevan Veselinovic, member of the Central Election Commission said to Radio Kosovo 2, that the final results of the local elections in Kosovo would be knowin after counting conditional and by-mail ballots. “There is a difference of 10 ballots only. Strahinja Spasic won 1.030 or 50.24 percent, while Bozidar Dejanovic won 1.020 or 49.76 percent. At the moment we are working on by-mail ballots that could change the results of the election in Klokot,” Veselinovic said to the Serbian media.
