Vucic: If format of Belgrade-Pristina dialogue change, Russia is ready to get involved (KoSSev portal)
If there are attempts to expand the format of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and involve the USA, Russian Federation is also ready to get involved in this dialogue, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic told Tanjug news agency.
“We have reached some sort of agreement, if there would be attempts and intentions to expand the format of participants and intermediaries in the talks between Serbs and Albanians, and if Americans would like to become a part of that format,” Vucic said during the meeting with the President of the Russian Federation Council, Valentina Matvijenko and added:
“We have asked if we can tell that the Russian Federation would get involved from our side and he (Putin) positively responded (to it)”.
This statement came one day after Vucic’s visit to Moscow and the meeting with the Russian President Vladimir Putin. Vucic also thanked Russian President for the support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, while Putin said that the issue of Kosovo must resolve in a political manner, e.g. with the dialogue, KoSSev portal reported.
