Serbian delegation interrupts talks in Brussels, Djuric confirms, Vucic called urgent session of National Security Council (Blic, RTS, TV Most)
Serbian delegation in Brussles, would interrupt talks with Pristina, and return urgently to Belgrade over the murder of Oliver Ivanovic in Mitrovica North, Blic daily reported.
According to Blic, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic called urgent session of the National Security Council at 12.00, while his address to media is expected at 13.00 hrs.
Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director, Marko Djuric confirmed to RTS Belgrade delegation has left the dialogue in Brussels and is heading back to Serbia over the murder of Oliver Ivanovic.
Marko Djuric told RTS the murder of Oliver Ivanovic is a criminal, terrorist act aiming to create chaos in the north of Kosovo and to push the entire population in Kosovo and Metohija, and Serbia into the hell of conflict.
“We know that over the last days there were threats against Serbia, Kadri Veseli threatened with war, and other Albanians as well to those who without any reaction from the international community attacked Serb properties,” Djuric told RTS.
He emphasized, whoever stands behind this murder, Albanian or Serbian criminals, would have to face the justice.
'This is the attack on entire Serbian population, and it is a criminal, terrorist act that would have to be and will be punished," Djuric said.
Asked how the murder of Oliver Ivanovic would influence continuation of the dialogue and if the Belgrade delegation would take part in the dialogue that should continue today, Djuric responded - What to talk about now? We are heading back to Belgrade immediately.
