Family of Oliver Ivanovic has no information about investigation (FoNet, TV Most)
Miroslav Ivanovic brother of the murdered leader of Civic Initiative Freedom, Democracy, Justice (SDP) Oliver Ivanovic, told FoNet news agency the family was "forced and condemned" to receive information about the investigation from certain politicians "if they consider it is appropriate to inform the public about it”.
Miroslav Ivanovic also said no one addressed them directly to eventually inform them about the investigation. He pointed out family members were invited to give statements if they had any information about the last days of Oliver Ivanovic.
"In view of work I deal with, I think it would be frivolous to inform us about the details of the investigation, but we might at least know how they assess the progress in a sense are there some indicators, if they can point out to something (…),” Miroslav Ivanovic said.
Asked how he, as a long-time judge, sees arrest and release of the two policemen, Ivanovic said they were charged with manipulating the evidence “whatever that linguistically means”.
He added "he does not see anything serious about that for the time being," and he thinks "it is too early to make conclusions," Serbian media reported.
Meanwhile, Ksenija Bozovic from SDP told FoNet news agency they do not have official information about the course of the investigation, however "there are many speculations, a lot of dirty water" and the question is why this was done.
"I just want to say that we from the SDP will not stop, we will put pressure every day and everyone should understand this, and human conscience should work out because one life has been shut down,” Bozovic said.
The murder of Oliver Ivanovic, who was also a member of the local municipal assembly in Mitrovica North, is not on the agenda of the next municipal session, and security situation will not be discussed, Bozovic confirmed, Serbian media reported.
