Dacic: No chance for Kosovo to become a member of UNESCO (Vecernje Novosti, TV Prva)
Vecernje Novosti write today that Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic told TV Prva that Kosovo has no chance to become a member of the UNESCO, and that an increasing number of countries are considering withdrawing recognition.
Commenting the statement of the Serbian ambassador to UNESCO that Kosovo has less chance of becoming a member of that organization than in 2015 Dacic said to TV Prva that this was the result of a "strenuous activity".
"We are dealing with these issues every day," said Dacic, adding "I am visiting our friends from all over the world on a daily basis. I was in Morocco, a friend from Algeria visited us, and tomorrow evening the Austrian foreign minister arrives."
On his proposal to withdraw from the Brussels agreement, Dacic said that it was an alternative to what Pristina was talking about.
"If the so-called Kosovo prime minister says he has not been able to read the Brussels agreement after signing, it's an indication that he does not care about the Brussels agreement at all," Dacic said.
He added that an ordinary contract "if it does not fulfil something from this contract it does not apply to the other party either".
"The international community and the EU should know that behind the talks, that are being conducted, isn't only Vucic. Here we have the opinion of the entire people, all citizens of our country."
