Janjic: EC and Mogherini want to move frozen dialogue ahead (KIM Radio)
European Commission and the EU High Representative Federica Mogherini by organizing a meeting at the level of presidents in Brussels this Sunday, want to move a frozen dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina ahead, analyst Dusan Janjic said.
Forum for Interethnic Relations Director, Janjic added that following the meeting between Vucic and Thaci a political agreement on two topics should be expected. First includes the future format and content of the negotiations, and the second one is related to what has been achieved so far, in particular when it comes to the Association/Community of Serb-Majority Municipalities.
Janjic also touched upon Oliver Ivanovic murder investigation, saying there are no new information related to the investigation, and according to him reasons can be found in a poor work of security structures and lack of “communication channel” between Belgrade and Pristina.
Janjic claims more is known about the murder of Ivanovic than it is spoken about. “One of the reasons could be an attempt of the international community that related to this case, calms instability and does not inflame new conflicts. I think this is a wrong assessment and the international community, foremost American, British and EU bodies must go out with what they know and pressure local politicians to give their contribution to informing the public,” Janjic stressed.
