Hashim Thaçi, leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, stated that he has not had any problems to recognize the after election coalition created by the group of six deputies from the non-Serb minorities at the Assembly of Kosovo.
He said that he has met today with this group, and agreed to unite forces to create the new government. “I met today with the “6+” after election political group and we discussed further steps on building the new institutions deriving from 8 June elections. It was a joint conclusion that the decision of the Constitutional Court is clear and that the same should be respected by all political parties,” wrote Thaci in his Facebook profile.
The outgoing Prime Minister also wrote that they have agreed with the “6+” group to cooperate as current coalition partners to overcome the political and institutional stalemate. “Let us join forces for the constitution of the Assembly and establishment of the new government, where the “6+” group will have it meritorious place. My determination remains building of institutions with as wider political ground as possible,” wrote Thaci.
