AAK accuses government of not doing enough for Haradinaj (Koha Ditore)
The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) has accused the government of Kosovo of not doing enough to secure the release of the party leader Ramush Haradinaj detained last week by French authorities on an arrest warrant issued by Serbia. In a statement issued on Sunday, the AAK expressed disappointment over the decision of the Kosovo Assembly to schedule a session on Haradinaj on Tuesday not earlier as the party requested.

Arianit Koci, the Kosovo-based lawyer for the leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) Ramush Haradinaj, said his client could be released on bail on Thursday when he is scheduled to have another hearing before the French courts. Koci said Haradinaj’s release on bail would imply him not leaving France until a final court decision is announced.

Albanian Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati said the detention of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) leader by the French police on an arrest warrant issued by Serbia was unjust. He said that Sebria’s issuance of arrest warrants through Interpol was intentional and aimed at destabilizing Kosovo.
