IBM begins implementation today (dailies)

Koha Ditore reports that Kosovo Interior Minister, Bajram Rexhepi, said that the implementation of the agreement in Merdare and Jarinje will start Monday at 08:00 hrs. Minister Rexhepi said regarding that the agreement for IBM should be implemented from both countries. “There can be obstacles in the north, for which we are aware, but this the determination of the European Commission, Kosovo, and Serbia; there  is no alternative,” said Rexhepi, “This should be implemented.” 

Kosovo attacked in north (Zëri)

Kosovo Assembly Chairperson Jakup Krasniqi condemned the attack on the employees of the Administrative Office in northern Mitrovica, where the deputy head of this office was injured. “This act not only attacks the lives of citizens but it is an attack against the institution of the Republic of Kosovo, which contributes administrative services and facilitates the lives of citizens without distinction on ethnicities, in this part of the country,” he said. According to Krasniqi, any attack on Kosovo institutions is a serious act and destabilizes institutional life and Kosovo society. 

Haradinaj standing firm on SHIK, wants coalition with PDK (Koha Ditore)

AAK did not change its mind on whether it should investigate SHIK’s activity; however, this is not an obstacle in the path towards building a coalition with PDK. AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj said that it is a question of being ready to deal with challenges Kosovo is experiencing. “It is not about specific stances, but it has to do about giving answers to topics we are facing,” said Haradinaj.

Kurti: With two moves, Kosovo can create crisis for Serbia (Koha Ditore)

Vetëvendosje leader Albin Kurti said that Kosovo is being negatively affected by political talks with Serbia. According to him, Kosovo should suspend talks and put a blockade on goods. “For the first time in history, we have a chance to replace traditional dependency of Kosovo with Serbia’s dependency for European integrations. Serbia is depending on Kosovo,” said Kurti on Sunday in Gjakova, “Negotiations are not only damaging, but they represent another lost chance.”

The so-called director of the Office of the Serbian Government for Kosovo, Aleksandar Vulin, stated that the Government of Serbia will come up with a plan on the Kosovo issue soon, which will try to offer a fair and sustainable solution. Vulin, who is also the leader of the Socialist Movement, stated in his address to members of this political party that if anyone claims that Kosovo is sold, they should ask who bought it. “I can say that we did not sign that document and no one traded with us. Do not accuse Kosovo Serbs for standing idle on the road towards Europe; it should not be said that they are a burden, obstacle, or a problem. Our biggest problem is corruption, criminality, and unemployment, while Kosovo Serbs are our pride,” stated Vulin.
