Presevo Valley leaders request reciprocity (lajmi.net)

The Russian news agency Sputnik reports that establishment of the Association of Municipalities with Serb majority in Kosovo, could open way to the territorial autonomy for Albanian municipalities in southern Serbia.

The Albanian political leaders in Presevo Valley, Jonuz Musliu and Ragmi Mustafa, told Sputnik that they would coordinate with Pristina and Tirana to request reciprocity in relation to the Serbs’ rights in Kosovo. He stressed that they would demand the same rights on education, judiciary and police for the Albanians in the Valley. “If Serbs are given autonomy in Kosovo, why the same thing would be prevented to us?” asked Musliu. “We will initially give priority to the dialogue, but if this is not achieved, then we will see for the other measures,” he said.

Ragmi Mustafa holds the same stance. He says that this request is not a novelty. According to him, Albanians of southern Serbia have requested reciprocity ever since the initiation of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels.
