Vetevendosje: Only mutual recognition normalizes relations with Serbia (KosovaPress)
The leader of the Vetevenodsje Movement, Visar Ymeri, spoke regarding the Brussels dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade. He said that the relations between Kosovo and Serbia can be normalized only if there is a reciprocal recognition of statehood.
He compared the situation of Kosovo with that of Croatia, and the agreement that the latter reached with former Yugoslavia in 1996, after the end of the war. He said that while the first point of the agreement with Croatia notes recognition and respect of the parties as two states, in the agreement with Kosovo the first point stresses the requirement to establish the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities. Ymeri said that Kosovo does not need a dialogue with Serbia but a dialogue with Kosovo Serbs.
