Serbia rejects changes of the Agreement on association (Lajmi.net)
The director of the Office for Kosovo in the Serbian government, Marko Djuric, stated that Belgrade would not accept any alternative other than full implementation of the agreements signed in Brussels with the government of Pristina. This official stressed that Serbia is determined to pursue this issue until resolved and added that changes of the draft would not be accepted. “We have sent a clear message to Brussels and to the international community that we want complete implementation of the agreements signed last year, without any changes. I expect from the other party to understand that dialogue is the only way of cooperation. Any rejection by the government in Pristina means that they are holding a nonchalant position and that they are not valuing the importance of the establishment of stability in the region,” Djuric said. The next round of discussions between Pristina and Belgrade is foreseen to be held in Brussels on 27 January, in presence of the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Policies, Frederica Mogherini.
Kosovo media reported recently that the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, would boycott any meeting called by Brussels, prior to visa liberalization for the people of Kosovo.
