Hahn thanks opposition for the contribution to integration process (lajmi.net)

During the last session of the parliamentary Commission for the Stabilization Association Agreement, Johannes Hahn said that the SAA is a historical step and marks contractual relations with the European Union. However, according to him, the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary remain a challenge.

“The SAA will raise standards and this agreement is not the end of a process, but the beginning of a new epoch for Kosovo”, said Hahn. He was pleased that the opposition parties are also contributing to the SAA and integration processes, and congratulated them for their participation in the SAA parliamentary Commission.

Hahn also answered at the parliamentary Commission, which was held on request of the MPs of the Commission, questions with regard to the conditions for visa liberalization, saying that the criteria are the same for all the countries.

The Commission closed the session and announced its next session for 23 and 24 November of this year in Strasbourg.
