Nikolic at opening of UN Assembly general debate (Tanjug)

NEW YORK - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will attend on Wednesday the opening of the general debate of the 69th session of the UN General Assembly and have a whole series of bilateral meetings.

Nikolic will meet with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Angolan Vice President Domingos Vicente, Latvian President Andris Berzins and Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski.

He will also meet with his Slovenian counterpart Borut Pahor and the Holy See Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolino.

US President Barack Obama, the UN secretary general, French President Francois Hollande and others will speak at the debate on Wednesday, while Nikolic will make his address on Friday.

The Serbian president attended a summit on climate on Tuesday.

The 69th session of the UN General Assembly started on September 16 and will finish on September 29.
