Jevtić requests postponement of the privatization of Hotel Junior (KIM radio)

Outgoing Minister for Communities and Return Dalibor Jevtić has sent a letter to Kosovo Privatization Agency requesting the delay of privatization of the Hotel Junior in Brezovica, where internally displaced are sheltered.

In his letter he explained that the hotel can’t be privatized as long as it shelters internally displaced persons. “There are 34 families sheltered in the hotel, coming from municipalities of Uroševac/Ferizaj, Prizren, Štimlje/Shtime and Kačanik/Kaçanik,” said Jevtićc in his latter and added that besides children there are and very old people. Jevtić also explained that there is an initiative for resolving the status of those sheltered in the Hotel Junior and that funds are already allocated for their housing.

“We’ve already provided funds needed for settling this issue and with this letter we want to acquaint you with the fact that implementation of the project will start by the end of this year,” said Jevtić and explained that funds are provided from IPA II funds for closure of collective centers. The value of the project is million euros.
