Belgrade to initial no agreements with Pristina which would directly or indirectly mean the recognition of the independence of Kosovo and Metohija, nor such requests come from Brussels – it was said to Vecernje Novosti in the Government of Serbia.

This is the response of the Serbian officials to the statement of Self-Determination official Visar Imery, whose party is likely to be part of the new government in Pristina, that "dialogue with Belgrade will not be continued unless Serbia does not recognize Kosovo's independence."

First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic explains, to Novosti, that the position of Serbia is known and will not change, nor the state will do anything that would support the recognition of the independence of Kosovo:

- The talks under the auspices of the EU are status-neutral and will remain so. Serbia will not sign no agreements that would constitute recognition, Brussels does not insist on it, on the contrary, they seek from Pristina demonstration of cooperation in order to sit at the table as soon as possible and continue talk about completing the Brussels Treaty and other unresolved issues.

The Albanian side in the negotiations earlier sought a new agreement between Belgrade and Pristina, by the principle of two equal entities, but there was no consensus among the EU member states, despite the fact that Pristina had the support of Berlin.

According to Novosti a kind of new document is possible in the future, similar to the agreement of April 2013, which would frame all the agreements reached in the meantime, but it's not about any "peace agreement".

Kocijancic: We are waiting for the government formation

- This is an internal process in which we do not want to interfere. The dialogue continues and meetings of the working groups are regularly being held - said spokesperson of EU High Representative Maja Kocijančič, on the question of the "peace agreement".
