The western countries are using the Crimean crisis to cover their own suspicious acts in Kosovo, Russian ambassador with the OSCE Andrei Kelin stated for the Russua-24 TV. He has rejected as hypocritical all the claims of Russia allegedly violating the international law, the Itar Tass reports. The international law was violated with the USA invasion of Granada, and also when the NATO states bombed Serbia in order to take Kosovo away, Kelin said. Almost 2,000 people were killed on that occasion, but not one word was said at the time about any principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity. Those who are now speculating about the annexation of Crimea are trying to conceal what they had done before, Kelin assessed, adding that Crime belongs to Russia based on the fair referendum in which the majority of citizens opted for the unification with Russia. Unlike that, there was no referendum or voting or anything else in Kosmet, the Russian diplomat concluded.
