Dacic end of March in Pristina (Danas)
Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the economy from the region, in the framework of the Berlin Process, will be held in Pristina, last week of March, Danas has learned from sources in Pristina. Then, according to our source, is expected the first visit of the Head of the Serbian Diplomacy, Ivica Dacic to Kosovo, and the Economy Minister Zeljko Sertic. The meeting, like the previous two in Berlin and Belgrade, will be organized by the Gymnich formula, i.e. without the display of national symbols.
First Regional Meeting of Ministers was held in Berlin, organized by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, while the second meeting was held in October in Belgrade and was assessed as historic. The Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the economies of the Western Balkans and senior officials of the European Commission met then in Belgrade with the aim to discuss programs that could spur economic growth and attract private investment in the region.
The meeting in Belgrade was attended by representatives of Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Kosovo, European Commission Vice President Jyrki Katainen, EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule, Special Envoy of the Italian presidency of the EU Andrea Orizio, as well as Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council Goran Svilanovic. The rally, organized in Belgrade hotel "Metropol", the first time participated and ministers in the government of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj and Fadil Ismaili.
Kosovo Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj then suggested the next meeting to be held in Pristina, but decision about it has not been made yet. The meeting was not held earlier, because the process of forming the new Kosovo government lasted after the election. The new Foreign Minister Hashim Thaci will host a regional meeting in March in Pristina.
