General Figliuolo: Comprehensive approach is a key to success (KIM Radio)
"I am very pleased with the level of security in Kosovo," said the outgoing commander of KFOR Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, who will conclude his mandate in Kosovo on 7 August.
The outgoing commander of KFOR, referred to the problem of radical groups and extremists. "I'll be very honest; no country is immune to terrorism. I think that Kosovo is very dedicated to the fight against it. It is not easy to deal with that. You know that a few days ago five people were arrested near Lake Badovac. At the moment there are no specific threats of this type for Kosovo. Just in case, we share all the information we have about potential problems with EULEX and the Kosovo Police," concluded general Figliuolo.
General Figliuolo expressed his condolences to the families of killed harvesters in Staro Gracko and refused to comment on allegations about the involvement of the members of British KFOR in that case.
