Simic: Outcome of voting shows that sense prevailed (Tanjug, RTK2)
The chairperson of the Serbian List Slavko Simic said to Tanjug that during the voting on Kosovo’s membership in UNESCO sense of some ambassadors prevailed and they brought good decision not to support Kosovo’s bid to become a member of this organization.
“We know what happened in last 16 years to our churches and monasteries, and I think that this was recognized in Europe and the world,” said Simic and reminded that some churches and monasteries were destroyed and burnt to the ground. He went on to say that neither Serbian nor Albanian community should look at this as a victory or a defeat and that many challenges lie ahead.
