Serbs are only a decoration, but could win A/CSM (KoSSev)
Serbs are only a decoration in the Kosovo parliament and government, serving the purpose of presenting Kosovo as a multi-ethnic place to the international community, said MP in the Serbian Parliament and former mayor of Mitrovica North, Krstimir Pantic. He added that despite this, if Serbs are smart, they will be able to ‘work-out Community of Serb-majority municipalities’.
On the B92 TV show ‘Kaziprst’, Pantic said that representatives of Serbs could condition the formation of a quorum in the Kosovo parliament during the session to elect the president of Kosovo, with the adoption of the statute of the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities (A/CSM). “That’s what I would recommend, however I don’t know what the Serb representatives will decide’, said Pantic, and warned that Hashim Thaci wants to become president of Kosovo at any cost in order to avoid trial at the special war crimes court for Kosovo Liberation Army crimes.
Pantic reflected on the Brussels agreement and said that this agreement is the most that the Serbian side can achieve for now. Whereas when it comes to the return of displaced Serbs, Pantic said that KFOR can provide normal conditions but this process is an obligation in itself for Pristina and the international community, which are neglecting it.
