Jevtić: Police failed in Mušutište (RTS)

The Minister for Communities and Return in the Kosovo Government, Dalibor Jevtić, reflected on yesterday’s incidents in the village Mušutište and said to RTS that Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija will remain persistent in realization of their basic human rights and freedoms. It is unacceptable that anyone is prevented to move free in 21st century and return to its property, said Jevtić.

He underlined that it is huge disappointment that Serbs in Kosovo were not able to celebrate their religious holiday the Assumption of Mary into Heaven due to protests of local Kosovo Albanians in the village Mušutište.

Jevtić added that it was obvious that police was doing everything they could yesterday to prevent incidents, however their operative component has failed. He also stressed that there should be more condemnations of the incident by institutions, which are meant to provide rule and law.
