Simić and Didier on the current political situation (KIM radio)
President of the Serbian List Slavko Simić met with the new Ambassador of France in Kosovo Didier Chambert, whom he informed about the current political and security problems in Kosovo.
Simić informed Didier about the positions of the Serbian community and its political representatives after the adoption of the Trepča and the law on strategic investments, adding that the refusal of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo to assess the constitutionality of the adopted law on Trepča caused distrust of the Serbian community towards the central institutions and the highest independent institutions in Pristina.
Simić commented about the non-participation of the Serbs political representatives in Kosovo institutions, pointing out that interest for communication and respect for the views of all parties were necessary for the normal and democratic functioning of the Parliament.
French Ambassador accepted the position of the Serb political representatives and urged deputies of the Serbian List to take effective steps in communication with coalition partners, and to involve in the work of the parliament as soon as possible.
He also stressed the importance of the progress of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina in all dimensions with the expectation that the ZSO would provide perspective for the Serbian people in Kosovo.
