Jevtic asks Turkish support for economic projects (Politika)
Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Communities and Returns, Dalibor Jevtic spoke with the Turkish Ambassador in Pristina, Kıvılcım Kılıç on possible financial support from the Government of Turkey to economic projects that would significantly help Serbs and other non-majority communities in Kosovo and create new employment opportunities, Poliitka daily reported, quoting the Ministry’s statement.
During the meeting, Jevtic said it would be very significant if products from Kosovo, in particular agricultural products produced at returns sites, could be exported to Turkey.
Jevtic also said that financial support of Turkey to reconstruct some Orthodox holy shrines, same as it was done with the Serbian Orthodox Church in southern Mitrovica, would be significant as the Serbian Orthodox Church has special importance for the survival of Serbs in Kosovo.
Ambassador Kılıç said that Turkey, in the spirit of positive relations it has with the people in the Balkans, is ready to help all non-majority people, Politika reported.
Ambassador Kılıç invited Jevtic to visit Istanbul from 1 to 3 November and be a special guest at an annual conference on security in that city, where meetings between Jevtic and representatives of companies would be organized.
