Serbian Minister of Trade Rasim Ljajic says that Serbia will be increasing and strengthening counter measures towards Kosovo, until the authorities in Pristina do not abolish taxes on imports of flour from Serbia, reports RTK2, quoting the Beta news agency.

"We have some announcement that this decision will be abolished, but it is not said when," Ljajic said.

Ljajic points out that Serbia does not support trade wars, measures, nor a counter measures, but wants to completely abolish all barriers and enable the smooth flow of goods.

Ljajic says that Serbia continues to seek a meeting of the CEFTA Joint Committee.

He adds that the exporters of flour from Serbia suffer from the imposition of measures, but that even bigger losers are consumers in Kosovo, because the price of flour is higher by 20 euros per tonne.

Ljajic says that this measure is not a political one, but rather it is the move of the miller's lobby from Kosovo that has interest character and an economic one, RTK2 reports.
