Kosovo Army unacceptable for Serbia and Cyprus (RTS, RTK2)

Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin and Lieutenant General Ilias Leontaris, the National Guard Chief emphasized during the talks in Belgrade the importance of engaging members of the Serbian Armed Forces in the multinational UNFICYP operation in the Republic of Cyprus, reports Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).

On this occasion Vulin said that the political relations of the two countries are traditionally good and friendly. During the talks, he expressed his gratitude to the Republic of Cyprus for continued support in preserving the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia in Kosovo.

The Minister of Defense also pointed out that Serbia supports finding a comprehensive solution to the Cyprus issue, in accordance with relevant United Nations resolutions.

The interlocutors agreed, during the talks, with the assessment that the formation of the Kosovo Army is unacceptable, the statement said, reports RTS.
