RTS: Abbot Sava interprets Vucic’s statement as rebuttal (Tanjug, RTS, Blic)
Abbot of Visoki Decani Monastery Sava Janjic considers yesterday’s reaction of the President Aleksandar Vucic as rebuttal that there would be division of Kosovo, RTS reports today.
“Excellent, there would be no division of Kosovo and Metohija and there are no talks with Pristina about it. We all probably know there are no peaceful territorial divisions in the history. Srpska Lista is also assuring us there would be no division. How not to trust them? People, sleep peacefully,” Abbot Sava wrote on his Twitter profile, RTS reported.
President Vucic earlier commented for TV Pink, previous Abbot Janjic’s twit about “dangerous information on staged incident in Kosovo” that should lead to division on the ground and reaction of Sasa Jankovic, leader of Serbian opposition Free Citizens Movement in support of Abbot Janjic claims. President Vucic said that he was brought into a situation to respond to the rude and idle gossips, empty talks, adding such stories are invented by his political opponents from the Alliance for Serbia.
Later during the day, Abbot Janjic wrote on Twitter saying that "apparently ethnic partition of Kosovo by a staged armed incident hasn’t been given up. Either by proclamation of “autonomy” or by getting control of Gazivode lake the both main players hope to carve a bigger chunk of territory despite people who’d suffer and other consequences. Shame."
Blic daily reported Serbian President Vucic scheduled session of the National Security Council for tomorrow, when the Association/Community of Serb-Majority Municipalities should have been established. The daily added there are “operational information Albanians would try to take over the Gazivode lake with NATO support.”
“The session would be dedicated on how to protect Serbian interests and people living in Kosovo and Metohija,” Blic has learnt.
