Kljajic: The performance in Kosovo, journalists as collateral damage (FoNet, N1, Danas)
During the visit of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to Kosovo, journalists passed the worst, as three press teams from Serbia were the target of the attacks, that is, the incidents, writes Belgrade based daily Danas and quotes the statement by Deutsche Welle (DW) journalist, Sanja Kljajic, who said that it all seemed like journalists were accounted for in advance as collateral damage.
The team of independent portal Insajder, based in Belgrade, the journalists of DW and Tanjug, were attacked, about whose security obviously no one took care of, Danas writes.
According to Sanja Kljajic, when one analyses the situation from the distance, it all looked as another performance in which journalists in advance were accounted for as a collective damage.
"It does not seem to me that someone made any kind of failure, on the contrary, their plan was good, the plan succeeded, and, if one of the journalists was seriously injured, frankly it's not as any of the two sides would be shaken about it. They have a lot in common, and contempt towards media freedom is certainly one of those things," Kljajic said.
