Brnabic: Pristina discriminates everything that is Serbian (RTS, Tanjug, KIM Radio)
Serbian Prime Minster Ana Brnabic said in Vienna that Pristina with additional taxes on goods from Serbia, discriminates everything that is Serbian, KIM Radio reports today.
Speaking at a press conference, following the working breakfast of the EU chair, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurtz with prime ministers from the Western Balkans, Brnabic noted that Serbia is focused on the future, but unfortunately the region is going backwards.
She noted it is particularly noticeable over the last two weeks, adding Pristina has violated CEFTA agreement by the decision to increase taxes on goods from central Serbia by 10 percent.
“This is not in accordance with CEFTA and represents a clear discrimination of everything that is Serbian. Let’s hope that in the future we would be able to implement this agreement, that would enable the continuation of the talks about what we can reach together,’ Branbic noted.
She thanked Chancellor Kurtz for keeping the EU enlargement high on the Austrian priority list, and expressed hope that additional chapters in Serbia’s EU integration process would open, something that would be an important signal sent to the Serbian citizens.
