Serbian PM says agreement with Euro-Asian Union not political (N1, Vecernje Novosti, BETA)

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic told Belgrade-based daily Vecernje Novosti the economic cooperation agreement that Serbia is set to sign with the Euro-Asian Economic Union is not political. PM Brnabic is scheduled to travel to Russia in 10 days to sign the agreement. “It does not run counter to the interests of the European Union, it is complementary because Serbia is a country determined to become an EU member which means that economically stronger Serbia is also in the interest of the EU.

Brnabic to attend meeting of prime ministers of Visegrad Group, Western Balkans (Serbian Government, media)

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic will attend the meeting of the prime ministers of the Visegrad Group and of the Western Balkans in Prague on 12 September. The host of the meeting will be Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis, Serbian media report. This is the first meeting of the prime ministers of the Visegrad Group – the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary with the prime ministers of the Western Balkans. The topic of the meeting will be the strengthening of the overall political and economic relations between the two regions.

Serbia appreciates principled stance of Indonesia on Kosovo (RTS)

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met today with Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Serbia, Mochammad Chandra Widya and discussed bilateral relations as well as advancing general cooperation between the two countries, RTS reports. Brnabic welcomed the newly appointed ambassador and noted how much Serbia appreciates principled stance of Indonesia on Kosovo and Metohija.

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic pays one-day visit to Spain where she met with the Spanish Foreign Affairs Minister and newly appointed EU High Representative Josep Borrell, Tanjug news agency reports. The main topics of the meeting included bilateral relations, Serbia’s EU integration and Belgrade-Pristina dialogue. Particular attention would be given to Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, given that Borrell would be a mediator in this process, once it gets restored.

Brnabic: CEFTA suspended because of Pristina, Serbia makes bilateral agreements (N1, BETA)

Brnabic reacts to Popovic’s statement on Brussels Agreement (TV N1)

When Minister without portfolio Nenad Popovic said “the Brussels Agreement is dead” and there is “no integration into the EU for Serbia anymore,” he was not expressing the view of the Serbian Government, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said on Saturday, TV N1 reported. “Every minister in the government is obliged to implement the agreed-upon policy, those not able to do so are free to leave,” Brnabic added. She also said the Minister Popovic is not competent to comment on the Brussels Agreement as EU integration is not among his responsibilities within the Serbian Government.
