Mimoza Ahmetaj: Establishment of the Community of Serb Municipalities in line with Kosovo laws (Blic, Beta)

Kosovo Minister for EU Integration, Mimoza Ahmetaj stated yesterday afternoon that the Kosovo Government remains committed to the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, and that the Community of Serb Municipalities would be done in line with Kosovo Constitution and laws.

Kosovo’s Minister for European Integration, Mimoza Ahmetaj, appealed to Kosovo Assembly MPs to ratify the Agreement with Montenegro on border demarcation as soon as possible, because it is the only remaining criteria for liberalisation of visas for Kosovo people to move freely in Schengen zone.

In an interview for Radio Kosova, Ahmetaj said that the EU High Representative, Frederica Mogherini, said that progress has been reached on fighting organized crime and corruption.

Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) has nominated Mimoza Ahmetaj to take on the vacant post of European Integration Minister. Ahmetaj was a PDK MP and later served as Kosovo’s ambassador to Belgium and more recently to Slovenia.
