The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, said that delay on shedding light on the missing persons is unacceptable.

“I was and will remain engaged on the issue of the missing in order for it to conclude soon and in a fair manner. I will personally engage to shed light on the fate of the missing and close this chapter,” President Thaci said.

He made these comments during his speech at  conference organized by the Resource Center for the Missing Persons, that is being held in Pristina.

RTS and other Serbian media reported about the conference on missing persons in Geneva. More than 6.000 persons went missing during the conflict in Kosovo in 1998 and 1999, and out of this number 1.658 are still listed as missing, participants at the roundtable discussion held in Geneva on 29^th and 30^th June stated.
