Vucic responds to claim that he "disappointed" Merkel (Tanjug, B92)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic yesterday in Istanbul commented on a statement made by Serb politician from Kosovo and Metohija Rada Trajkovic, B92 reports.

Namely, Vucic reacted after Trajkovic said that he had been "working behind the back of German Chancellor Angela Merkel," and also, that he had "disappointed Merkel."

Senior US official Wess Mitchell confirmed America’s support for the establishment of a regular army in Kosovo during his visit to Serbia – which strongly opposes the idea.

US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Wess Mitchell reaffirmed Washington’s support for the establishment of a Kosovo army after a meeting with Serbia’s President, Aleksandar Vucic, on Wednesday.

DSS handed over “Appeal for defense of Kosovo and Metohija” to Serbian President (KoSSev)

Members of Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) and its leader Milos Jovanovic handed over to the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic “Appeal for defense of Kosovo and Metohija,” KoSSev portal reported.

According to DSS, 300 reputable people who signed the appeal, called upon the authorities “to not sign legally binding agreement with Pristina.”

“When he became the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic swore at Gospel that he will defend the Constitution of Serbia and Kosovo and Metohija as its integral part,” Milos Jovanovic told Serbian media.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, in his recent op-ed published in Blic daily called for a wider social dialogue on Kosovo. His invitation was accepted by the Serbian Academy of Science and Arts (SANU), Serbian Orthodox Church and part of the opposition, Voice of America reported.
