Collaku: We have met the visa liberalization criteria (Telegrafi)

Kosovo’s European Integration Minister, Bekim Collaku, said today that Kosovo has met all the visa liberalization criteria and that it expects the European Union to recommend the visa liberalization for Kosovo citizens and to sign the Stabilization/Association Agreement. Collaku made these remarks after meeting the French Ambassador to Kosovo Maryse Daviet. Collaku and Daviet discussed Kosovo’s request to become a member of the UNESCO, and Daviet reconfirmed France’s support in this respect.

France does not automatically recognize the right of asylum (Gazeta Express)

The recent information, that France, allegedly, automatically recognizes the right of asylum for citizens of Kosovo is not correct, Gazeta Ekspress reports. Kosovo Minister of Internal Affairs, Bajram Rexhepi, met French Ambassador to Kosovo, Maryse Daviet to discuss illegal migration of Kosovo citizens to European countries.

President Jahjaga meets the Ambassadors of the Quint countries

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga, received today the Ambassador of Great Britain, Sir Ian Cliff, the Ambassador of the Republic of France, Ms. Maryse Daviet, the Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Germany, Mr. Matthias Kiesler and the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of the Republic of Italy, Mr. Salvatore Marino, whom she informed on the activities of the Kosovo institutions in the prevention and combating of extremism and radicalism.
