Vetevendosje MP, Rexhep Selimi, said that the government of Kosovo is accessory to Serbia in undermining sovereignty of Kosovo. He said the situation whereby Kosovo ministers and MPs vote in Serbian presidential elections today is “intolerable”.
Kosovo lawyer Arianit Koci who also represents the AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj wrote on Facebook that Serbian presidential elections are taking place on the day when 18 years ago Serb forces killed 86 civilians in the village of Krelan, Gjakova/Djakovica municipality. “While we mark today the 18th anniversary of the killing of 86 civilians in Krelan of Gjakova by Serb military and police troops, Serbian presidential elections are taking place in Kosovo. No one has apologised for monstrous crimes of Serbian genocidal regimes,” Koci wrote.
Kosovo Cadastral Agency (KCA) announced that in accordance to the decision of the Kosovo government, it has registered under Kosovo ownership property originally registered under former Yugoslavia and Serbia. According to KCA, the immovable property in question can now be found in the Kosovo’s cadastral information system.
Kosovo Assembly approved yesterday a resolution sponsored by the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) calling for suspension of dialogue with Serbia until the party leader, Ramush Haradinaj, is released. Kosovo’s Minister for Dialogue, Edita Tahiri, said the Kosovo side will respect the resolution calling it "fair".
Director for Western Balkans in the European Commission General Directorate for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Genoveva Ruiz Calavera, is set to begin her two-day visit to Kosovo today. Calavera will meet Kosovo leaders, including Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, Minister of European Integration Mimoza Ahmetaj, Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj, Minister of Economic Development Blerand Stavileci and Finance Minister Avdullah Hoti.
The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo is planning a number of actions to oppose the postponement of decision into its leader’s extradition request by Serbia. Head of AAK parliamentary group, Pal Lekaj, said that the party has not yet decided on the future course of action but did not rule out the possibility of boycotting Assembly sessions until AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj is not released.
The lawyer for the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) leader Ramush Haradinaj, Arianit Koci, said that even if the court in Colmar, France, decides to accept Serbia’s request for his client’s extradition, it is the French Ministry of Justice that will have a final say on the matter. Koci reiterated however that Serbia’s arrest warrant against Haradinaj was political and abuse of international law. He also said Serbian authorities are blackmailing France into extraditing his client. “Leaders in Belgrade have publicly states that if Mr.
Mayor of Mitrovica, Agim Bahtiri, met the head of UNMIK’s Regional Office in Mitrovica, Danilo Rosales Diaz to discuss the overall situation in the municipality, with special emphasis on the security situation. Diaz said that the mutual cooperation between the two institutions is satisfactory and in the benefit of all citizens. He added that UNMIK's doors are always open for cooperation and will support all activities of the municipality aimed at complete stabilization of the security situation and the improvement of interethnic relations.
A group of 25 apolitical professionals from Kosovo and Diaspora have sent a letter to all relevant Kosovo institutions urging them to immediately establish an armed force. The group expressed concern over the recent situation in face of “direct threats from Serbia.”
According to a website of the Israeli military intelligence DEBKA File, the Russian train with slogans against Kosovo might try to enter Kosovo again. The website, notes that in this case, Kosovo will seek help, but it should not expect support from some European country, not even from Germany.
