The riots in Pristina, because of the agreement on the Community / Association of Serb municipalities (ZSO) and dialogue with Belgrade, provide an alibi for the Government of Kosovo to hamper the implementation of the Brussels agreement, said Milovan Drecun, Chairman of the Serbian Parliamentary Committee for Kosovo.

Ahead of a final decision of the Constitutional Court in Pristina, Belgrade is saying it has no intention of giving up on what was signed in Brussels.

Representatives of Serbs in Kosovo are announcing they could leave the government if the Community/Association of Serbian Municipalities (ZSO) is not formed.

Although Serbia has no alternative to dialogue, the possibility of breaking off the Kosovo talks is not being ruled out.

Chairman of the Committee for Kosovo of the Serbian Assembly Milovan Drecun said that although the move of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo about the agreement on the Association / Community of Serb municipalities (ZSO) could be interpreted as a procedural step, one cannot avoid the conclusion that this was a deliberate move to obstruct the Agreement.

Chairman of the Serbian Parliamentary Committee for Kosovo Milovan Drecun has said that Brussels will have to react over Pristina’s efforts not to implement signed agreement on the formation of Community / Association of Serb municipalities (ZSO).

“It is up to Brussels, as facilitator and guarantor of what was agreed, to force Pristina to begin to behave in a politically rational way, as otherwise we could have destabilization of the situation that took too much effort to stabilize,” said Drecun.

The chairperson of the Serbian parliament’s Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun, said today that it is of utmost importance that states opposed to Kosovo’s independence are present at forthcoming UNESCO General Conference and vote when decision is made about Kosovo’s membership in that organization. According to Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, voting over Kosovo’s membership in UNESCO should take place around 9th November.

A campaign aimed at gaining "international capacity" to Kosovo, in several directions, is currently under way, Milovan Drecun has said. Speaking to RTS, the chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Kosovo and Metohija from the ranks of the ruling SNS party said Belgrade was "facing a planned campaign."

Parliamentary Committee for Kosovo and Metohija formed yesterday a working group to gather evidence in the investigation of crimes against Serbian people and other national communities in Kosovo.

The Committee Chairman Milovan Drecun said that the Working Group would intensively collect facts and evidence which may assist in the investigation of crimes against Serbs and other national communities.

Committee for Kosovo and Metohija of the Serbian Parliament requested from SANU (Serbian Academy of Science and Art) to declare about the attitude of the President of the institution, Vladimir Kostic, and in regards to his statement on Kosovo independence.

It must be ensured that Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija have sustainable prospects and a safe future, the chairman of the Serbian parliamentary committee on Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun, said on Thursday. Speaking to reporters in the Serbian parliament, Drecun said that normalisation of relations with Albanians living in Kosovo and Metohija is important in that process.

The chairperson of the Serbian Parliament's Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun, said that powerful states have promised to authorities in Pristina the membership in UNESCO, as a compensation due to the creation of a special court for war crimes and Association/Community of Serb municipalities (A/CSM).
