“There are still two major challenges for security in Kosovo: the growth of religious extremism and the potential for unrest as a result of the economic, social and political instability. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that security institutions focus their efforts in order to find out the true causes and potentially prevent the eruption of events that could arise from these challenges,” told Florian Qehaja, executive director of the Kosovo Centre for Security Studies.

The Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric called authorities in charge for the rule of law in Kosovo to be responsible and open to families of those who are exposed to court proceedings under charges for being involved in political activities.

Yesterday in Zubin Potok, Djuric met with representatives of families of arrested Serbs and assessed that it is “important that there is no pressure on persons who have expressed their political stance in the region of Zubin Potok”.

BELGRADE -- Serbia will not sign "an international peace agreement with Kosovo," Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić has told the Belgrade-based daily Danas.

Kosovo's Constitutional Court decided that Thaci’s PDK, winner of the last parliamentary elections in Kosovo, will propose candidate for the President of the Assembly. As reported by Pristina media, the decision of the Constitutional Court means that there will be no new elections.
