Two US congressmen have nominated Natasa Kandic and the Humanitarian Law Center NGO for this year's Nobel Peace Prize.

The nomination was submitted by US Congress Helsinki Commission Chairman Senator Roger Wicker and Representative Eliot Engel, ranking member of the US House Committee on Foreign Affairs.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic says he supports the dialogue with Pristina and is hoping for a compromise solution.
But Vucic, speaking for Sputnik in Davos, added that he did not have much hope that this would happen by the end of 2018.

Edi Rama says although Serbia is ahead of Albania in the process of EU accession, the two countries could join the EU together.
Speaking in Davos, Switzerland on Wednesday, the Albanian prime minister said this could happen "under the assumption that Serbia recognizes Kosovo."
"This is a performance-based process. Serbia has advantage because it is already negotiating and we hope to start negotiations this year," Rama said.
According to her, the responsibility for this lies with the European Union because it was not sufficiently engaged in the region.
"There is a (foreign) influence, it is our fault, we are not sufficiently present and engaged in the Western Balkan countries," Zaharieva told European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs, Beta reported, quoting Radio Free Europe.
In an interview with the public broadcaster in the province of Vojvodina (RTV), cited by the Beta agency, Dacic said the possibility of Serbia accepting Kosovo's UN membership was a mirage.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic attended on Monday in Belgrade a lunch with ambassadors of EU member-states.
The lunch, where Dacic was "the main speaker," was hosted by Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Sem Fabrizi, the government announced.

Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic says the reaction of Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj was "completely unacceptable."
As previously reported by Prva TV, Pristina definitely refused Belgrade's cooperation in the investigation into the murder of Oliver Ivanovic.
Stefanovic said on Thursday afternoon that the reaction of Haradinaj and of the minister of justice of the Pristina institutions was "completely unacceptable."
Police Director Vladimir Rebic has confirmed that a torched car suspected of being used in the murder of Oliver Ivanovic belonged to a Serb from Austria.
Ivanovic was shot dead from a moving car on January 16, in northern Kosovska Mitrovica. According to reports, this car was later found torched near the scene.
