Around 50 Serbian police officers suspended in northern Kosovo (Blic)
Around 50 Serbian police officers in northern Kosovo have been suspended due to their rejection to closely cooperate with prosecution and officials dealing with investigations on involvement of Serbs in alleged crimes committed in northern Kosovo, carried Kosovo Police. Information leaking with regard to murder of the police officer Enver Zumberi in 2010 in Zubin Potok was quoted by Kosovo Police as a justification for suspension for Serb police officers. Bozovic: Bank accounts of northern municipalities blocked (RTK2)
Bank accounts of four municipalities in northern Kosovo are blocked as of yesterday without any justification, said president of the local assembly of North Mitrovica Ksenija Bozovic to RTK2, and added that it is about a pressure which benefits no one. Bozovic stressed that budgets of all four municipalities have been adopted as stipulated by laws and the Brussels Agreement and that there is no basis for the blockade.
Voluntarism a condition for deployment of judges in Kosovo (RTK2)
The principle of willingness should be the main condition for deployment of judges in Kosovo, however the question remains how many judges from Serbia would agree to be integrated into the Kosovo judicial system. The president of the High Judicial Council of Serbia Dragomir Milojevic today said that judges cant’ be deployed into Kosovo courts against their own will and that the first criteria should be their good will, that they wish to be integrated into the Kosovo judiciary, whereas the final deal in relation to a relevant procedure has not been reached yet.
