Hodzic doubts in layoff of employees (RTK2)

The director of the Kosovo government's Administrative Office in Mitrovica Adrijana Hodzic says that she doesn’t believe that hundreds of employee in northern Kosovo will remain jobless in next year and that the biggest challenge would be creation of the Association/Community of Serb municipalities (A/CSM).

“I understood that Pristina is not interested for such thing to take place either,” said Hodzic and added that talks should be carried out at higher levels in order to avoid such a catastrophic scenario.

Trial to Oliver Ivanovic to begin in January (RTK2)

Trial to the leader of the Civic Initiative SDP Oliver Ivanovic and four other Serbs suspected for committing serious crimes during 1999 and 2000 will start in the last week of January.

Lawyer Nebojsa Vlajic said to Tanjug that an international judge of EULEX has decided that first hearing with the introductory statements will be held on 18 December, while the trial where witnesses would give their testimonies will start in the last week of January.

Insurance companies ready for lowering vehicle insurance taxes (RTK2)

An agreement has been reached in Brussels, through the EU mediation, on lowering vehicle insurance taxes at crossings between Serbia and Kosovo, said the director of the insurance company ‘Siguria’ Rahim Pacolli to RTK2. He added that insurance companies in Kosovo have been granted the green light few days ago and that Kosovo side is ready to sign the agreement.

Serbian List requests 7 percent of Serbs in the executive authorities of Kosovo (RTK2)

President of the Serbian List, Aleksandar Jablanovic, expects creation of the Association/Community of Serb municipalities, provided by the Brussels Agreement, to be on the agenda soon after the constitution of the Kosovo government. Jablanovic said to RTK2 that Serbian List has some conditions for becoming the part of the Kosovo government.

For a massive return to Kosovo (TV Most, RTK2)

The return of displaced persons to Kosovo as a main theme was discussed at the first regional conference in Skopje, organized by the International Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). A large number of senior officials from Belgrade, Pristina, Podgorica and Skopje attended the conference.

Press release of the Ministry for Return announced that the OSCE representatives, who organized the meeting, have said that the aim of the conference is finding lasting solutions for the sensitive issues of return.

Rasic: Unfinished integration of Serbs a trump for more posts (RTK2)

Coalition made of the two biggest Kosovo Albanian parties will decrease the influence of the Serbian community representatives, said the President of the Progressive Democratic Party, Nenad Rasic. He added that integration of Serbs into Kosovo society is not over yet, what might be a trump for winning more political posts in the future Kosovo government.

“I think that the integration of Serbs, taking into account that this process is not over yet, could be a trump for obtaining more posts,” Rasic said to RTK2.

Petrovic: Majority coalition in the parliament is acceptable, soon first session (RTK2)

MP of the Serbian List, Slobodan Petrovic welcomed the agreement of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) on the formation of the Kosovo government and announced support in the parliament session which will be held soon. "It is certain that it is necessary to form a government as soon as possible and to constitute the parliament. We welcome the agreement that was mandatory, in order to get out of the political crisis that lasts more than six months," said Petrovic.
